La cercanía está en el botón de play

Nunca antes había pensado en el poder tan grande y subestimado que tiene el botón de play. Recién me doy cuenta de que la acción de reproducir películas y música impulsada por ese botón me ha cambiado la vida muchas veces, pero también descubrí que tiene otro poder: lograr la cercanía.

Hoy comienza mi estación preferida: el otoño. Mi fascinación de ver las hojas secas en el suelo nunca termina. El pisar esas mismas hojas y escucharlas crujir es un placer insaciable, pero a la vez sencillo e inocente. 

Reseña: La jaula de las locas

Por primera vez en Puerto Rico sube a escena La jaula de las locas, una adaptación de La cage aux folles (1973), obra musical del dramaturgo francés Jean Poiret. Por espacio de casi tres horas, los espectadores fuimos transportados a un club nocturno en Saint-Tropez, del cual no queríamos salir.

Dos décadas de Dynamo

El 1 de octubre 1992, la banda argentina Soda Stereo publicó Dynamo, su sexto álbum de estudio. En aquella época no contó con el mismo respaldo masivo que su predecesor, Canción Animal, debido a que el grupo cambió de disquera (lo que afectó su promoción) y por el sonido experimental que traía consigo, apartándolo así del resto de su discografía. Para muchos (incluyéndome), es un disco adelantado a su época y el mejor o uno de los mejores de la banda. Al escucharlo hoy, en el 2012, su sonido no está expirado, sino que mantiene un sonido vigente y fresco.

Today is the Blu-Ray release of The Dark Knight Rises, which is the epic conclusion to Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy. To celebrate (and hell, even cry about) this, the last video release of this Batman franchise, I dedicate this post to this event.

Happy 53rd birthday, Madonna!

Today marks the 53rd birthday of the one and only Queen of Pop: Madonna. She’s one of my musical goddesses (note to self: write a post about all my musical gods and goddesses), and I always like to remember the birthdays of those musicians and actors whom I admire. Usually, when one of my favorite musicians is having a birthday, I celebrate it by listening to his or her music. Today will be no exception.

For the occasion, I’ve prepared a list of my top 7 favorite songs and videos from Madge. Why top 7? Because I couldn’t choose only 5 wanted to do something different, of course!
